Ingredients
A delicious orange beef recipe that is crispy and sweet yet mildly spiced. This beef stir-fry recipe is great served with steamed rice and broccoli.
1 ½ pounds meat top sirloin, daintily cut
2 cups water
1 cup long grain rice
⅓ cup white sugar
⅓ cup rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons frozen squeezed orange concentrate
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups oil for broiling
¼ cup cornstarch
3 tablespoons ground new ginger
1 ½ tablespoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons orange zing
8 broccoli florets, gently steamed or whitened
Lay hamburger in a solitary layer on a baking sheet fixed with paper towels. Permit to dry in the cooler for 30 minutes.
In the mean time, heat water and rice to the point of boiling in a medium pot. Decrease intensity to medium-low, cover, and stew until rice is delicate, around 20 minutes.
Combine as one sugar, rice vinegar, squeezed orange concentrate, soy sauce, and salt in a little bowl. Put away.
Heat oil in a wok over medium-high intensity. Throw dried hamburger in cornstarch to cover. Broil covered hamburger in hot oil in little groups until firm and brilliant brown; put away. Channel oil from the wok, leaving around 1 tablespoon.
Add ginger, garlic, and orange zing to residual oil in wok. Cook and mix momentarily until fragrant. Pour in soy sauce blend; heat to the point of boiling and cook until thick and sweet, around 5 minutes. Mix in seared meat and cook until warmed through. Serve hot over steamed rice and embellishment with broccoli.
