Easy turkey burgers

These simple, sound turkey burgers are ideally suited for taking care of the entire family, kids included. Our delicious burgers are perfect for summer engaging

Cooking Ingredients

    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 huge onion, finely cleaved
    • 2 garlic cloves, squashed
    • 85g porridge oats
    • 450g/1lb minced turkey
    • 100g dried apricot, finely cleaved
    • 1 huge carrot, ground
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • cucumber cuts, to serve

Cooking Direction

    Strategy
    Stage 1
    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a container and delicately fry the onion for 5 mins until delicate. Add the garlic and cook for 1 min. Add the oats and broil for 2 mins more. Tip into a bowl and put away to cool.

    Stage 2
    Add the other fixings to the cooled blend and blend well in with your hands. Season to taste and shape into 8 patties.

    Stage 3
    Heat stove to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6. Heat the leftover olive oil in an enormous, non-stick skillet and singe the burgers on each side until very much shaded (3-4 mins). Move to a baking sheet and cook in the stove for 10-15 mins. Serve in rolls with Tart tomato chutney (see 'works out positively for') and cucumber cuts.

    Stage 4
    For the chutney heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a container and add 1 finely cleaved onion. Cook for 5 mins until mellowed. Mix in 1 squashed garlic clove and cook for a further min. Add 1 tbsp sundried tomato glue, a 400g can great quality hacked tomatoes and a touch of sugar. Tenderly cook for 20-25 mins until rich and thick. Season to taste, then pass on to cool prior to serving.
