Tinga is a Mexican dish of delicate destroyed chicken in a zesty tomato and chipotle chile sauce served on crunchy tostada shells. This recipe is not difficult to make and extraordinary for taking care of a group!
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion, diced
1 (15 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
1 (7 ounce) can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, or to taste
2 pounds shredded cooked chicken meat
16 tostada shells
½ cup sour cream
Heat oil in a pan over medium intensity. Add onions and sauté until relaxed and clear, around 5 minutes.
In the mean time, purée stewed tomatoes and chipotle peppers in adobo sauce in a blender.
Pour puréed combination over onions in the pan; add chicken and mix to join. Cover and stew for 20 minutes.
Hill chicken combination onto tostada shells and enhancement with harsh cream.
