Ingredients
These tasty steamed pork dumplings make a perfect appetizer for a party or you can serve them as a main dish. Serve with hoisin sauce, hot Chinese-style mustard, and toasted sesame seeds.
100 (3.5 inch square) wonton coverings
1 ¾ pounds ground pork
1 tablespoon minced new ginger root
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons meagerly cut green onion
4 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons sesame oil
1 egg, beaten
5 cups finely destroyed Chinese cabbage
In a huge bowl, consolidate the pork, ginger, garlic, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, egg and cabbage. Mix until all around blended.
Place 1 stacking teaspoon of pork filling onto every wonton skin. Soak edges with water and crease edges over to frame a triangle shape. Roll edges marginally to seal in filling. Put dumplings to the side on a softly floured surface until prepared to cook.
Orchestrate dumplings in a covered bamboo or metal liner so they don't contact to keep them from remaining together; steam for 15 minutes, or until pork is cooked through.
