Spiced turkey burgers

Turkey isn't only for Christmas you know! The children will adore these, and for the adults, they're low fat, as well

Cooking Ingredients

    • 500g turkey mince
    • ½ red onion, ground
    • 1 garlic clove, squashed
    • 2 tsp Madras curry powder
    • small bunch cleaved coriander
    • 1 egg yolk
    • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
    • 4 burger buns
    • salad and mango chutney or lime pickle, to serve

Cooking Direction

    Technique
    Stage 1
    In an enormous bowl, combine as one the turkey mince, onion, garlic, curry powder, coriander and egg yolk with just enough salt and pepper. Consolidate well with your hands, then shape into 4 level burger patties.

    Stage 2
    Heat the oil in a griddle over a high intensity, then, at that point, cook the burgers for 5 mins each side or until cooked through. Toast the cut sides of the burger buns. Put the serving of mixed greens on the base parts of the warm buns, then, at that point, top with the burgers and chutney or lime pickle.
